FAQ's

What kind of products do you use?

Only the highest quality products are used, some of which cannot be purchased in the United States. Some of these brands include Menzerna, 1z Einszett, Swissvax, Autoglym, Pinnacle, Meguiars, Zaino, Blackfire, PakShak, CR Spotless, Lake Country and many more.

What is a detail?

The word "detail" is used very loosely today. To many, it means washing the car, putting some wax on it and vacuuming the interior. However, the style of detailing used here is extremely meticulous and can take several days to complete. It is better thought of as a rejuvenation of your car.

What is paint correction?

Paint correction is the methodical and time consuming process of removing (not masking) paint imperfections through proper machine polishing, while maintaining the original paint and maximizing gloss. Be sure to ask for more information on the paint correction process.

What are swirl marks and how are they caused?

Swirl marks are circular like scratches in the paint which need to be removed by proper machine polishing. Swirl marks are generally caused by improper washing and drying techniques.

What are holograms and how are they caused?

Holograms are typically caused by inexperienced rotary users and a failure to complete the polishing process correctly. From past experiences, many cars with holograms have been buffed by dealerships, high volume detailing shops, or body shops who rush the job. You will not find any holograms or other buffer marks on your paint after my paint correction process.

What is a Carnauba wax?

Carnauba wax is probably one of the most popular types of products used to protect paint and has been around for a long time. Your typical Carnauba wax product will last for about one to two months depending on several conditions. A Carnauba wax is meant to give the paint great depth and gloss. The downside is it does not last very long.

What is a sealant?

A sealant is a synthetic protection which can last for several months. Sealants usually have great durability, but they lack depth.

How do I maintain my finish after a paint correction detail?

After getting a paint correction detail, I offer a free car wash instruction session to show you how to maintain that swirl free finish. This can be done within two weeks of completing the detail free of charge.
